The 12-month degree program provides students with a focused knowledge and clear understanding of concepts such as: visual storytelling, narrative structures, multimedia terms and genres, character creation and development, screenwriting and storyboarding, script analysis and criticism, and script editing for a variety of niches and distribution methods in the entertainment media industry. This industry includes publishing, film and television, animation, and gaming.
The Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts Degree equips students with editorial skills and enhances their ability to create compelling stories and writing elements while enabling them to ultimately market their creative masterpieces. In addition, it develops and strengthens students? leadership, project-management, and research skills necessary for the development and execution of creative writing projects.
The new online Master?s degree will offer students the real world education that has defined Full Sail as an educational leader in the entertainment industry for the past 30 years. Students interact in the program through writer workshops, as well as the Full Sail Online critiquing mechanism used for feedback from faculty and peers and technical workshops.

To stay connected, Full Sail offers each student an Apple MacBook Pro through Project LaunchBox, which serves as their personal workstation throughout their education and into their careers.
Upon completion of the Creative Writing degree, students will be equipped with a professional creative writing portfolio tailored for careers in the entertainment media industry.
